Anna revington reaves, principal | founder

Anna Revington Reaves, is a registered landscape architect and founder of Revington Reaves Landscape Architecture and Planning with an extensive background in public and institutional master planning and site design. Trained at Sasaki in Boston, Anna has experience working around the globe, and she enjoys translating this knowledge into award winning projects that impact her home State of North Carolina.

Anna leverages her background in both planning and site design to craft spaces that merge art, design, ecology, and function to create landscapes that are connected and purposeful. Invested in her local community, Anna has served on the NCASLA Executive board, Greensboro Beautiful Advisory Board, and is currently a member of the Women’s Professional Forum. She is the former Program Coordinator for N.C. A&T State University Landscape Architecture Program and continues to extend her professional knowledge into the classroom as Adjunct Instructor. Anna holds a BLA from NC State and a dual master’s in City and Regional Planning and Landscape Architecture from Cornell University.


mark reaves, principal

Mark serves several roles at Revington Reaves that all hinge on the intersection of ecology, people, and construction. With a formal background in horticulture and bird conservation, he brings an ecological lens that is applied to all our design work.

Mark also finds great pleasure in helping create memorable public spaces that bring people together and improve community health. He works hard to integrate meaningful community engagement into our projects and is keen on developing long-lasting relationships in the place we live and work. Mark is a licensed N.C. Landscape Contractor and responsible for managing the complexities of construction administration.

He holds degrees from N.C. State University and Cornell University and has given lectures on ecology and design at Cornell, Harvard, MIT, and is an adjunct professor at N.C. A&T.


Ian waddill, Associate

Ian is a landscape designer passionate about exploring the intersection of design and technology. He combines technical expertise with creative problem-solving to craft engaging spaces for PreK-12 schools, higher education campuses, and parks and recreation that thoughtfully respond to people and place.

Ian specializes in a variety of design software, using these tools to effectively visualize and communicate his ideas. He thrives on collaborating with his team to develop innovative, technology-driven solutions across diverse project scales.

During his time at UNC Greensboro, Ian earned several honors, including the IFDA Rising Star Award and recognition as Outstanding Undergraduate Designer. He is also a LEED Green Associate, underscoring his commitment to sustainable design.


Rachel clegg, associate

Rachel is a registered landscape architect with over twenty years of experience blending ecological based design with the technical aspects of project implementation. Her work focuses on the ability of landscape architecture to create spaces that respond to natural systems resulting in harmonious and sustainable outdoor environments. Rachel has expertise in native plant design, site planning, and site grading for public spaces, parks, and ecological restoration projects. Rachel holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from NC State University and a Bachelor of Arts with a minor in Geology from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio.

Rachel is also an oil painter. She is a current member of The River Arts District Association in Asheville, NC. Her paintings are on view in her Asheville River Arts District studio gallery and in many private collections.


katie whippie, designer

Katie is deeply committed to creating resilient spaces, integrating eco-conscious principles throughout her design process. She designs environmentally friendly landscapes—ranging from diverse, sustainable gardens to carefully crafted outdoor living areas—that blend seamlessly with their surroundings and promote well-being.

Katie graduated with honors from UNC Greensboro with a BFA in Interior Architecture. Her academic training in 2D design and 3D rendering, combined with experience designing welcoming commercial interiors, has honed her ability to create spaces that are both artistic and functional.


Christian anderson

Christian is a graduate of the Landscape Architecture program at NC A&T. His passion lies in designing landscapes that actively engage individuals and foster community interaction.

With a strong background in parkour, Christian brings a unique perspective to landscape design—creating dynamic outdoor spaces that encourage movement, exploration, and creative physical expression. His work focuses on activating environments that invite people to connect with nature and each other in meaningful, playful ways.

When he's not working at Revington Reaves, Christian shares his love of movement by teaching parkour to people of all ages, inspiring them to engage confidently with the built and natural environment.
